Aria's Birth Announcements {Basic Invite}

There's this funny thing in parenthood, we refer to as SECOND CHILD syndrome. You know, when everything was an extremely big deal with your first, but your second, third, fourth child you seem to care less and less lol. I don't mean about the kid, just the way you do whatever it takes to survive because now you're outnumbered.

I started my blog late 2018 after Roman was born because time was passing SO fast. During my pregnancy, I wrote everything down. I didn't want to forget what I was doing the first time I felt flutters in my stomach. I didn't want to forget how fast he was growing. I didn't want to forget all of my experiences, good or bad. So after I had him, I had the same expectation that I would be able to do that, but postpartum was a whole new ballgame for me. I was so lost. I was sleep deprived {aren't we all, mommies?}. I had so much anxiety about Roman crying. It would physically hurt my heart, I'm talking pain in my chest if he would cry for longer than a few seconds. So there's a lot I didn't write down. There's a lot that I don't remember anymore.

So what about that second child syndrome? It's been a little backwards for me. L&D was extremely difficult with Aria. Pregnancy was a little more difficult too. BUT the recovery has been a lot better. Even though I can't always read her cues, I just feel more at ease and happier all around. I've turned into paparazzi with photos galore. I've posted more blogs. I've become involved in the IG secret mom society I never knew existed. And now, I've gotten so lucky to have found Basic Invite, an amazing company that helped me create Aria's BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENTS. Something I knew I wanted to do for Roman, but sadly never got around to. So I guess now I'll have to go back and make him one too! They're so beautiful, I had to share them with you!

BASIC INVITE is a paper goods printing company that has cards for almost every major life moment you never want to forget. I've created Christmas cards, family photo cards, and invitations through different companies, but I cannot tell you how amazing the cards I received from Basic Invite are. The card stock is buttery smooth. The images look as clear as I submitted them. The colors are bright and airy {that's what I live for}. I honestly didn't expect to LOVE them as much as I do, and I'm so glad they reached out to me.

If you have an upcoming MEMORABLE event or even one that has passed, you'll have to look into getting cards made from Basic Invite. Everything is done directly from their website. I could have spent weeks designing birth announcements! There are so many templates and customizable options starting with over 180 color options and instant online previews. So once you've selected your design, you can change the color of each element on the card. I chose a raised gold foil for Aria's name, a basic white for her welcome, and a pretty mauve tone mixed with grey and black for her details on the back. The foil was the BEST decision I could have made. It is such a pretty gold. They also had silver and rose gold options. Then when I finally thought I had it all figured out, there were over 40 different colors of envelopes. I chose the font for the return and delivering mailing addresses. I chose a gold insert in the envelope to add a beautiful detail and tie it in to the card. Also, I was excited it is a peel and seal envelope since I chose to mail them myself, but you can have the Basic Invite mail them for you directly too. There is an address capturing service directly from their website. So if you don't have a friend or family member's address, it's as easy as sharing a link on Facebook, Twitter, IG, or any social media to request it, and then they are stored in your account for easy selection.

Okay, so now you've created your card, but still aren't sure? You can order a printed sample before you place a final order! Isn't that amazing? You can make sure it will be
EXACTLY like you picture it. But I don't think you'll need this option, you'll love them anyway!

One last tip, I checked their website and birth announcements are currently 40% off {through Sunday}! But if there's anything else you need, use the code 15FF51 to get 15% off your order!
