Nursery <3

We did it! And by "we," I mean my husband painted our baby G I R L ' S nursery. With a teensy bit of help from some adorable baby hands.

I'm 31 weeks pregnant with our baby girl. It took us 30 weeks to paint her
NURSERY. Roman is so full of energy, all the time. Being mommy to him and working a full time job has kept me too busy to think about her details, which is unfair to her because I won't remember it all. So here I am again, TRYING.

It's been a LONG time since I've written a blog. TBH, my domain auto-renewed, and that's why it still exists. I'm really glad it did though. I want as many memories as I can keep stored, even if it's just ONE more.

It's so heartwarming to see how much Roman loves his baby sister. I mean LOVES. Obsessed. He always lifts my shirt(s) to bare belly and wants to give "tister" hugs and kisses. Sometimes he even laughs of excitement when he hasn't seen her for a while. Laying him on my belly is the easiest way to get him to nap right now. It's just the SWEETEST thing, and I pray he loves her just as much once she's here. He was ecstatic to help paint her room.

I'm so glad the nursery is finally painted. That's the start of it all. I suddenly had a vision and ordered a few items a couple of weeks ago, including the gorgeous, soft, affordable rug {talk about
NESTING}. I'm still missing some key items like a crib and dresser, but I do have them picked out, and I'll continue sharing as it comes along.

I LOVE the paint color we chose. It has a pink tint to it without being overwhelming. It's extremely hard to shop for specific items and color match during a pandemic/stay at home order quarantine. I sure do miss Homegoods... anyone else?! But it actually turned out perfect. I've also ordered some natural pieces and gold accents. I can't wait to see it all put together.

Here is the

Side note - the small splint on Roman's toe? He had an accident. A weight fell on his foot and broke my poor baby's toe. At 19 1/2 months, he has his first broken bone. I can't believe it. Nothing hits home more than MOM GUILT. I saw him reaching for it, but was too far away. It was pretty bad, but he has been so TOUGH! I know accidents happen and babies really are more resilient than we give him credit for. Two days post accident, and he was already walking, even running again. Hopefully all heals well. In a few weeks, he should be perfect again.

For now, enjoy some progress photos!
